Out of Hours and Emergencies

The Sheffield GP collaborative provides our out of hours service whenever the surgery is closed.

Please remember that the out of hours service is only for emergencies and for anything that cannot wait until the surgery is next open.

To assist the visiting doctor it is helpful if the number of the house is clearly displayed and an outside light switched on at night. At any time in an extreme emergency it is appropriate to dial 999 and ask for an ambulance.

 

Please note that from April 22nd 2009 the GP Collaborative will be moving from their site at the Hallamshire Hospital. They will be providing the same care to our patients when we are closed but from it's new site at the Northern General Hospital. The new address is:

This can be found on the Herries road entrance driveway, just to the right as you enter the grounds of the hospital.

Contacting the collaborative is done as usual by calling our number, 0845 1222 686. If we are closed your call will be automatically patched through to the medical staff there.

The Sheffield Primary Care Trust is responsible for commissioning the out of hours services.
